Sochi (Russian Сочи) is a spectacular russian resort city ,north of the southern Russian border with Georgia. It sprawls  145km (90mi) along the shores of the Black Sea and sits between snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus Mountains and the inviting Black Sea. Because of its unique breathtaking nature Sochi has been selected to be the host of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014.



You can see from this video of nearby Kracnaya Polyana why Sochi was chosen for the winter olympics:
